DURACELL iPod Charger (USB charger) September 1, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Works just like the description said it would. Very nice and handy on trips where you cannot plug in a regular charger into an outlet. If one is on a bus and suddenly need to charge the iPod, this charger is excellent and keeps the music going! I recommend this for car, bus trips, airplane, and even boat trips. All vehicles that do NOT have an electrical outlet (Most trains HAVE outlets, which is nice). Don't forget to take this along on your next trip.
Doesn't run on rechargable batteries unless their straght off of charger August 25, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Mainly designed for non-rechargeable batteries (Alkaline). Needs a total battery voltage 0f about 2.8 to turn on. So Nimh batteries don't work becuse At 2.7 volt won't turn on. once turned on, need to leave cord plugged into Duracell charger to get full use of batteries. If your unplug cord at Duracell charger end, after using some of battery charge won't restart when cord is plugged back into charger. But if your leave cord plugged into charger you can get full use of battery charge. Only way I get AA nimh batteries to work in it, is in the mornings before I head out I have batteries sitting in recharge so their at maximum voltage. Then pop them into Duracell ipod charger, plug cord into charger to turn it on and leave it that way till near days end when I need the extra power. Works good that way but sure is a hassle. Or Just use alkaline all the time, but thats not what I was looking for.
