Kate Winslet, Acting, Rejected Movies, The Golden Hat..

Kate Winslet is the best actress, about her acting method, it's wondering what she does when she acts... Like does she make up all of the character and is it hard for her to go in and out of character fast,is she in character even when not being filmed, does she just do it. The most she has done when it comes to staying in character is reading bedtime stories to her children in German accent when she was filming the Reader. But other than that she's rather a spontaneous actress. Her approach tends to be naturalism instead of theatrics.

Winslet narrated the documentary A Mother's Courage: Talking Back to Autism, which focused on Keli Thorsteinsson, who is autistic, and his mother, Margret Ericsdottir. She received the Yo Dona award for Best Humanitarian Work for her work with the Golden Hat

Lately, she rejected a LOT of roles in several movies.

- Éowyn in Lord of the Rings.
- Viola De Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love.
- Nola Rice in Match Point.
- Tessa Quayle in The Gardener.
- Anna Leonowens in Anna and the King.
- Helena Ravenclaw "The Grey Lady" in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: Her agent practically forced her to reject this one.

Many of these could have made her name more recognizable and for roles like Viola and Anna would have earned her an Academy Award. Also it would have been interesting to see her as Éowyn. She would be great in an epic fantasy movie like LOTR.
