Vladimir Putin, The Man Without a Face

The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin

Vladimir Putin, Russia getting stronger?

Read recently that Russia (unlike the US) has no debt and now has the second largest gold supply in the world. If the West continues to overspend and the world currencies continue to devalue, could Russia emerge stronger than the rest?

They have the 6th largest economy as of now (and growing), have a budget surplus, and their influence is spreading in the Middle east and neighboring regions. This and the people are more traditional.

Anyone think that they will reclaim their status as a world superpower in the next generation or so?

The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin

The Man Without a Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin.. Putin is actually a remarkable politician. A strong ruler. Compare him to Charles de Gaulle.

On the other side, nobody owns Putin. He owns everybody and does everything for benefit of Russia and Russians. Everybody works for Russia, from peasants and workers to mobsters and corrupt oligarchs. Yeltsin did everything Clinton asked from him. That's why he is hailed as the man responsible for bringing democracy to Russia.
