Computer, NitroTmp.tmp

NitroTmp.tmp - does anybody know anything about this?  So I found this file on my computer earlier - NitroTmp.tmp. It has today listed as the date it was created - my computer did an automatic restart at some point while I was way from it, which could have something to do with it (I know I wasn't online at the time listed). Now, here's the part that concerns me - Google didn't turn up anything - searching it with quote marks around it (to make sure it was searching for that exact phrase) produced exactly 0 results.

I mean, I ran it through jotti and virus total, and they both didn't find anything, though I wonder if it's possible the scanners they're using aren't up-to-date enough to find anything (if there's anything to be found)...

I haven't heard of it. Many .tmp files are plain text. Try opening the file in Notepad and reading the contents. That may tell you which program created it.

Q
The entire text:

{
"BrowserType" : "IE",
"ScanTarget" : "Security_Settings_TrustedSites",
"activeSessionId" : 1
}

EDIT: It wasn't set to open with Notepad originally - it was set to open with Windows Shell Common Dll

A2
That looks pretty safe to me.

Person2
as a general rule... i would recommend 8GB of RAM as with that much your computer won't ever be slowed down due to lack of RAM.

4GB is kind of the minimum though nowadays before performance will start to get clearly effected.

the rest of those specs... i don't feel like looking at right now. also, Desktops are generally more power for less money. so if you don't have to have portability i would definitely go the desktop route and you will get a bigger screen that way to.

Person1
So you're saying the 4GB offered with this computer is the minimum amount I need while 8GB would be wiser?

Person2
Yeah, for most uses 4GB is the minimum while 8GB would give you room to breath and run just about anything you want to.

basically... 8GB will help future proof your computer as by the time 8GB becomes an issue that computer will be outdated anyways.

Person3
Really 8GB is the minimum amount of memory that you have to have in order to get any kind of video processing done. Which also implies that you need to be using a 64 bit operating system. Just as a 2 gigahertz 2 core processor is as slow as you can go to meet the minimum requirements for video processing.

A 6 core 3 gigahertz processor and 16GB of memory are preferable but you can't hardly get that unless you build it yourself.

Person3
It is two core processors short of the old outdated computer I am using now.

And your computer that you chose 'Acer E5-521G-4361' also has the BIOS rom vulnerability, which means that any of those hackers on the religion board would turn it into a useless door stop just short of an hour after you connect to the internet and log into IMDB with it.

Person1
Thanks to all for your answers.
Person3, which computer would you recommend and how strong should it be?

Person2
i would not pay attention much to Person3 as he talks a bunch of BS as shown below when i quoted what he said...

comments like these are just flat out lies.

p.s. but it is true that you need a 64bit OS to use 8GB of RAM though. but just about anyone with 4GB+ of RAM should not be using 32bit OS's anymore anyways as there is not much reason to for the average computer user. also, for video processing it can be true that you might need more RAM but since you are not concerned i doubt you will ever come close to using even 8GB of RAM as i run a decent amount of programs on my PC and i never run out, it's unlikely that you would either.

Person1
But wouldn't 8GB of RAM be better because I may not need so much but its my impression that 4GB is just adequate while 8GB covers all of my needs?

Person2
Yeah, definitely get 8GB of RAM as that will allow you to breathe for a while as like i was saying, by the time 8GB of RAM becomes a issue for most uses, the PC will likely be outdated by then anyways.

i was just saying his 16GB recommendation is a bit overkill for most people on most uses right now. if the price is right then getting 16GB won't hurt but in general i would rather put that extra money saved there to more hard drive space or just about anything else.

Person1
You got it. Investing the extra money, which isn't that much, in 8GB rather than 4GB, is wise. As in my OP, the most I demand from a computer is stream mlb.com and only one on-line game, Forge of Empires. Other than them, I only skype and just surf.

Person3
Nice comment coming from someone who actually participates in that sort of hacking.
Of course you would deny a crime that you are yourself guilty of.

Person3
Off the shelf computers tend to be hobbled with 32 bit operating systems.
Since you are paying extra anyway for a computer with a 64 bit processor it would kind of be a waste not to take advantage of the full power of that processor with a 64 bit operating system.

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit would be a good choice, it is what I use.
It is definitely worth the cost to go with 8GB memory instead of settling for 4GB. But that is only an advantage if you use a 64 bit operating system because the 32 bit operating systems can't access memory beyond 4GB.

It all depends on what you will be using it for.
If it's only for surfing the internet then a 2Ghz 2 core processor 4GB memory and an 80GB hard drive should be fine.

But processing videos, compiling software, and breaking encryption codes and hacking logins with rainbow tables, takes a lot of processing power.
Power that my 6 core processor and 8GB of memory can just barely adequately meet.

I keep my selection of motherboards a closely guarded secret as there are those on these boards like M-Slovac or Discerningly Tasty who would use that information to mount an effective attack.

Much for the same reasons that the U.S. is not likely to give their military secrets to Russia.

Person1

I will remember this when I buy a computer. Its going to be 8GB and the 64 bit operating system.

Person2
Yeah, 8GB of RAM along with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS (the minimum version of Windows 7 i would use) is good.

personally... i just use Windows 7 Home Premium x64 (the minimum version of Windows 7 that's good) along with Windows Loader v2.2.2. that gets you Windows 7 for free and it works exactly like a legitimate copy does since all it does is fool Windows 7 into thinking you legitimately activated the OS (i.e. works exactly the same as a legitimate copy). that will save you roughly $100 if you build the computer yourself which i don't think Person1 is doing so i guess he ain't got to pay much attention to what i say here.

either way, avoid Windows 8 as Windows 7 is clearly better for Desktop/Laptop computers.

Person3
Windows 7 Home Premium is limited to only 4GB memory use, even the 64 bit version.
Which kind of defeats the whole purpose, but if you knew anything about computers at all you would know that already.

Windows 7 Professional costs more for several reasons, the very least of which is that it has fewer limitations than the Home version.

That's not correct. 'Windows 7 Home Premium x64' supports up to 16GB of RAM which it's not likely many people would use or have installed more RAM than that nowadays.

it's only once you use anything lower than Home Premium is when it really cripples the OS.

there is other features of Professional etc that Home Premium does not have but none are really needed by the vast majority of people.

taking a quick look around online and you can find this quote...

Windows 7 Home Premium supports a maximum of 16GB of installed RAM, whereas Professional and Ultimate can address a maximum of 192GB of RAM.

like i was saying above... it's not likely anyone will use or need more than 16GB of RAM into the foreseeable future. hence, Windows 7 Home Premium x64 is 'good enough' (i.e. the minimum version of Windows 7 worth using).

so if someone did have more than 16GB installed then obviously Professional would be required.

but being Windows 7 is supported til the year 2020, which is about 5 more years, there is a chance by then people using more than 16GB may be possible but if i ever need it ill just get a hold of Professional and use Windows Loader on it. but for the vast majority of people i doubt many will need (or have installed) more than 16GB of RAM on their PC into the foreseeable future.

Person3

The system board I am currently looking to acquire has a maximum capacity of 32 GB of RAM.
What I am stuck with now is limited to 16 GB of RAM, which is not enough for my use. I may eventually retire it for use as a security encryption server.

but being Windows 7 is supported til the year 2020, which is about 5 more years,

No, Microsoft is officially retiring Windows 7 in about 6 months.

That is why the smart folks are gradually migrating to Linux, because Windows 8 is a sucking nadear of suckitude.

like it's not worth paying extra $$$ for Professional over Home Premium for most people right now.

No, Microsoft is officially retiring Windows 7 in about 6 months.

re-read what i said... it will be SUPPORTED til the year 2020 (i.e. bug/security fixes through windows update like usual)

here is a good place to look... http://goo.gl/1geuwJ (Microsoft's own website says what i quoted below basically)

but basically...

Mainstream (free, Microsoft-provided) support for Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 installed isn't expiring until January 13, 2015. Microsoft will continue to provide security fixes for Windows 7 for free until the end of extended support, which is January 14, 2020 -- unless Microsoft ends up extending that support date, as it did with Windows XP.

so in other words... Windows 7 is safe to use til Jan 14th 2020 since any security flaws etc will be fixed at least until that date.

but if Windows 7 is anything like Windows XP was i would not be surprised to see them further extend support of Windows 7 past the 2020 date.

Person3

Yeah, in your case Professional would be needed. but for the vast majority of people 'Windows 7 Home Premium x64' would be good enough since not many people will have more than 16GB of RAM in their PC's.

Most people seem to be using Apple iPhones these days.
Never mind that I can still look something up on the internet faster than them with a real computer, even if I give them a 60 second head start.

But that's millennials for you, more concerned with what they think is cool than what is practical and actually useful.

Person2
obviously i meant for computers/laptops when i said the 'vast majority of people only need Windows 7 Home Premium x64'.

but just to comment on the whole PC/Laptop vs Tablet/Phone etc types of devices... for those who do very basic stuff then those are fine but i actually like to USE my computer in which case a Tablet and the like are just not up to my standards. Tablets are overpriced for what you get and have a smaller screen etc.

but sadly, because many people only do very basic stuff on the internet that's probably why tablets and the like are popular. but i figure why pay a ton of $$$ for a handicapped device that only allows for very basic internet usage.

Person4

I keep my selection of motherboards a closely guarded secret as there are those on these boards like M-Slovac or Discerningly Tasty who would use that information to mount an effective attack.

of course it's not true ;)

Person1
I ended up getting a HP computer with 4GB, 64-bit, Intel Core, i3-4005CPU@1.7GHz, and its Windows 8.1. It covers my needs and it works fine.
Thanks to everyone for their advice

Person2
Have fun ;)

finding a computer pre-built with Windows 7 i suspect won't be easy as it seems that Windows 8 crap is probably on everything nowadays.

but yeah, for pretty basic use that would be 'good enough' even though 4GB to 8GB of RAM would allow you some more breathing room as if you open up a bunch of websites in your browser that can burn up 1GB+ pretty easily especially if you use Chrome as your browser which won't leave too much left for Windows itself to use. my Pale Moon x64 (basically Firefox variation) tends to float between 1-1.5GB of RAM and that's with a bunch of websites/tabs open and left running for days etc. if i did that with Chrome it would be much more than that.

It's happy to see Jennette going back to drama. It'll be good to see her step away from the Nickelodeon/Dan Schneider slapstick comedy and go back, especially since a lot has happened in the past few years. It might help her tap back into those emotions that she had as a child actor on all the drama shows.

About BF, Jennette McCurdy has never dated Colton Tran, she has even denied it in an interview, they are just friends. For the past two years she has been dating Paul Glaser.

Microsoft, AppData folder ?

Person1.. AppData folder?????????? Microsoft uses the following pathway to show how to access the startup folder.

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
(I do not need to get into the startup folder. The above pathway is just for an example).

I have seen other pathways that include "AppData". The problem is when I go to drive C:\Users\\ there is no "AppData" folder so I can't search a pathway any further.

I have gone in an made "hidden folders" visible and there still is no "AppData" file listed. After I check I make the hidden folders hidden again.

Why isn't there an "AppData" folder when I see it as part of pathways?

Plus the 3 main files under "Users" don't really show anything. The 3 are:

1. Administrator - This folder has a "locked folder" icon. There is nothing there except a folder named "Favorites" and it is empty. I do have another "Favorite" folder with my favorites in it but it is in another place.

2. "Username" - This folder also has a "locked folder" icon. This folder includes folders such as downloads, music, videos, pictures, searches, saved games, links, desktop, contacts, documents. All of these folders are also visible as part of my Microsoft Explorer tree.

3. Public - This folder has a plain folder icon. This folder includes the folders "Public Documents" which is empty-"Public Downloads" which is empty-"Public Music" which has music samples-"Public Pictures" which has photo samples-"Public Recorded TV" which has what looks like a video but I have never opened it to find out-"Public Videos" which has a sample video.

I am not sure what my question is concerning the "User" folders other than it seems like there should be more sub-folders in them.

The "Administrator" folder is empty so why have it and why does it have a "locked folder" icon?
The "username" folder's contents are already visible on my tree. Why the "locked folder" icon?
The "Public" folder is worthless as far as I can tell. I have no use for the samples the sub-folders store.

This is all very confusing

The folder is almost certainly there, but hidden. Go to a command prompt and type:

attrib %userprofile%\appdata

Odds are you'll see:

SH C:\Users\\AppData

"SH" means that it is a System, Hidden folder.

I am not sure what my question is concerning the "User" folders other than it seems like there should be more sub-folders in them.

A "locked folder" icon simply means that there is special security on the folder.

A "username" folder is locked because you could conceivably have a shared computer with multiple secured user accounts on it. Each user would only have access to their own files.

The "Public" folder only makes sense if it is a shared computer with files that multiple users might need to access.

An "Administrator" account is for a business environment where an IT guy needs to sign on to the computer and have access to all files in all user accounts.

If the computer is being used by only one user (who has administrative access to the machine) then the "username" folder will be the only one used.

Person1
Thank you Person2 for helping me.
I understand everything you have written but I do need help with one area.

I understand what a command prompt is but how do I bring one up?

Person2

I understand what a command prompt is but how do I bring one up? - Person1

Like many things in Windows, there are multiple ways and you can decide on which you like best. Here are some options:
Click Start, and in the Search box at the bottom of the menu, start typing "Command" and then click on the Command Prompt
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
Navigate to the desktop. Hold down the shift key, right click on desktop, and select "Open command window here." This technique also works with folders in Windows Explorer.

P.S. On my own machine I have pinned the command prompt window to the taskbar so it's never more than a click away.

Person1
Thanks again alpha. I understand.

Person2
You're welcome.

Person3
FYI, there's a registry patch called something like "command prompt here" that makes it convenient to open a command prompt in any folder by right-clicking on it. Very handy.

I was using that registry patch on my (now retired) Windows XP box. However, that functionality is now built into Windows 7. The only difference between the registry patch and Windows 7 is that you have hold down the Shift key when you right-click on the folder. If you do that, you will see a menu option to "Open command window here".

Laptop, dvd player, download Windows Media Player?

Q: I just got a laptop with a dvd player, but...on the box it says it does not copy commercially available dvds. I don't really care about that, but I would like to download Windows Media Player and copy songs off CD's so I can make CDs for my own personal use. Do you think I will be able to do this? I was able to do this with my old laptop.

What is the operating system on the laptop? And you are saying that the laptop doesn't include Windows Media player?

I suppose you should be able to download Windows Media player from Microsoft. If not, I'm sure there are free alternatives you can use to rip your audio CDs.

A2
Yeah, there is decent free software that will allow you to rip audio tracks from your CD and then burn them to another CD.

CDBurnerXP should be decent enough for the job when it comes to burning the CD's. i would probably use Foobar2000 to rip the data from your original audio CD's.

just throwing out some ideas without typing too much ;)

Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch

Kindle / book of Elizabeth the Queen, The Life of a Modern Monarch.

“An excellent, all-embracing new biography.”—The New York Times

Elizabeth the Queen is a close-up view of the lively, brilliant, and steadfast woman we’ve known only from a distance, and a captivating window into life at the center of the last great monarchy.

Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch

Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch... Queen Elizabeth II : current condition of the royal family? The Royal Family are supported by the fact that they still exist. We got rid of them once but had them back within a remarkably short period of time. We've had affairs, abdications, loss of our colonies, and yet we still have our monarchy. We may not seem like a tough-guy nation, but quite frankly if we wanted rid of our monarchy, we could do it. The fact that we have not done so, and the fact that the media is still fascinated by them, shows that we do still support her. At least the majority do.

As for the Irish, Scottish and Welsh... a family of Welsh that love the Queen, and a handful of Scots that support her. The only Irish person can't stand the idea of a monarchy, but he is Southern Irish and thus would likely not.

But people's opinions on royalty as, say, opinions on the death penalty. Those that have it support it, while those that don't disagree with it. (that does not count for everyone, its a gross representation).

Avast, Free antivirus software?

Person1.. Free antivirus software that doesn't interfere w/ System Restore:

So I just found out that Avast was the culprit behind my System Restore (Windows 8.1) throwing a 0x80070005 error. Upon researching, apparently there have been many reports of antivirus software that are constantly doing this, rendering the feature useless. But I couldn't find any info on which ones do not. Does any such product exist? Or perhaps the better question is, which ones other than Avast have been reported of doing this?

Now, I know that a quick solution is to disable or uninstall the antivirus first before running the restore. But that requires the ability to log on. I've been in a situation where restore failed after running it from startup. Hence, I'm thinking that Avast was still the culprit, if that's possible. In that case, is there any way to disable/uninstall the antivirus w/o logging on normally?

That's good to know. Thanks for sharing.

I suspect that any anti-virus program worth its salt would have some kind of self-protection feature. Even the old Norton Antivirus 2006, which I used prior to Avast, had a self-protection feature.

I don't understand what your startup issue with System Restore is, but do you really need to use System Restore that much, that you'd consider permanently disabling Avast's self-defense module? I haven't used System Restore once in the last ten years!

Person1
I did recently on two computers. Basically, both machines (a desktop and a laptop) suddenly couldn't startup. SR worked for my laptop but failed for my desktop, so I had to refresh the latter's OS. It's such a stressful hassle. I just want to take the proper precautions for some peace of mind in case something like this ever happens again.

The person who uploaded the video says that he also has the self-defense module disabled, and is waiting for the next update which supposedly will fix the problem.

BTW, Norton is apparently the most notorious when it comes to clashing w/ SR on this issue. Which makes sense given what you just pointed out about it.

I haven't had to use System Restore since I was running Windows Me, which was well over a decade ago. I've had three operating systems since then (2000, XP, and now 7), and thankfully I haven't needed to run SR once.

BTW, Norton is apparently the most notorious when it comes to clashing w/ SR on this issue. Which makes sense given what you just pointed out about it.

I recall that back in the day Symantec advised Norton users to disable product protection prior to installing Windows XP SP3. The SP3 install tried to create and then delete registry keys, and Norton product protection prevented the deletion of these temporary registry keys. I can see how there could be a conflict with System Restore.

Barack Obama - Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance

Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance by Barack Obama

An excellent book that gives a very good insight into Barack Obama's early life.

Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance by Barack Obama

Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance by Barack Obama The book is vey well written and engaging, very difficult to put down.

What ever you think of Obama, we can all agree that he was an idealist before he walk into the White House, he said as much as that in some interviews.

Presidential candidates who ultimately win have an idea that they want to follow and put into practice but when they actually walk into the white house they end up having to wear the same mantle of their predecessors...

When a president signs a contract with lets say a dictatorship ,the next president who is going to hold that same office is legally bound to the previous decisions his predecessors made.

agree??

Vanessa Morgan, So pretty, drop dead gorgeous

Vanessa Morgan, So pretty, she's drop dead gorgeous. One of the prettiest girls acting. And she's a good singer too.

Cool to see Vanessa Morgan, a black girl in a buffy role.. very nice.. hopefully her pop career can take off in the united states..

Vanessa is as cute as non asian girls get. Plus, what a body. She brings the hotness (& the cuteness too). What I said about other black girls ain't because they're black, as Vanessa demonstrates. They could be any skin color at all, or even transparent. It's because of their facial features, which ain't the same thing as skin color.

She unbeliavebly beautiful. Too good to be true.

Downloading Windows 2000 Safe and Effective?

Is Downloading Windows 2000 Safe and Effective? How does it help and is it safe to download? What exactly does it do?

Acronis True Image 2015 for PC

Acronis True Image 2015 for PC

Person2
Microsoft Windows 2000? That's an operating system even older than Windows XP, which was retired in April 2014. Neither 2000, nor it's successor XP, is safe to use anymore.

Person3
like alpha said above it's (Windows 2000) not safe to use.

if you want to download a OS just get Windows 7 and use Windows Loader v2.2.2 (which activates it) and your golden ;)

p.s. i have used Windows 2k in the past as that was the first OS i installed that was stable (huge improvement over Windows 98/ME and older which where not stable and you had to reboot the PC fairly often as after hours of use they generally get worse and worse unlike Windows 2k/XP and newer which you can leave running for weeks (probably months) on end without a need for a reboot) but not too long after that Windows XP became the standard.

Person4
Microsoft stopped supporting 2000 completely in the summer of 2010. It's even more vulnerable than XP at this point, and is by all means considered Abandonware.

You're much, much better off trying/sticking with Windows 7; the 32-bit version actually functions on only 1GB of RAM.

Person3
personally i think 2GB is about the minimum for Windows 7 especially if you plan on running software, which we all do. even 2GB will impede performance but that i would say is functional.

1GB would be functional/good for XP but not Windows 7. hell, especially considering how much RAM web browsers burn up nowadays.

if you are low on RAM i would recommend Firefox since that don't burn up as much RAM as the RAM hungry Google Chrome does.

Person4
Believe it or not, I'm actually running Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) on a Compaq Presario V2000, from 2005, with 1GB of RAM. Nothing wrong with adding more RAM, though, if you need to. I plan to soon.

As far as internet surfing and media use is concerned, it's fine. Fortunately, it's not my main laptop.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia: A Leader of Consequence

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia: A Leader of Consequence

Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun.. Abdullah ibn Abdilazīz or King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia was RIP. On 2 January 2015, King Abdullah was hospitalized for pneumonia and died on 23 January 2015..

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia: A Leader of Consequence

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia: A Leader of Consequence.. Concentrates on King Abdullah's role as a "reformist." It said that King Abdullah 's emphasis on education for both sexes at home and abroad, the importance of the role of women in society, the need to address extremism and its root causes, and the requirement that those who rule be fair and honest, sets him apart from many other global leaders.

It is all the more impressive that these efforts and initiatives are pursued while Abdullah ibn Abdilazīz effectively balances his religious obligations as "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" with his day-to-day responsibilities for managing a vibrant and rapidly developing country of some 26 million people. This includes King Abdullah's efforts to manage the kingdom's oil resources wisely and to diversify the kingdom's economy for today's citizens and future generations.”

Anyway...

..King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia Rest In Peace..

This Grande's second studio album reached number one in the United States, and contained the hit singles "Problem" and "Break Free".

 Ariana Grande - My Everything

The following songs from Ariana Grande - My Everything album:

1. Be My Baby [feat. Cashmere Cat]

7. Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart
8. Love Me Harder
9. My Everything
10. One Last Time
11. Problem [feat. Iggy Azalea]
12. Why Try

Ariana Grande, She is no ordinary girl! She's so amazing. The way she acts out her character as Cat is so unique compared to the typical tv "airhead." Her hair is red. She was in Broadway Musicals at the age of 14. Her fan base is killer! And she gives videos and prizes to her fans on her youtube page: osnapitzari. Ariana's voice is very versatile and she can imitate the voices of a lot of famous celebrity's and cartoons such as Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Shakira, and Princess Ariel. Her album will becoming out early 2013.

Musician bio films, 24 Hour Party People, etc

Person1
Musician bio films.. Control (2007). Fantastic film. 9/10.

Person2
I think that Control is one of the worst films I've ever seen. For something shot by a photographer, it looks awful, probably partly due to the decision to shoot in colour and later to transfer to black and white. But it's worst crime is for a band who are practically a personification of a particular time and place, they make practically no use of Manchester or its surrounds, and barely reference the era. The characters are badly cast, too, and the decision not to use Joy Division's music makes it essentially pointless.

Other than that, it's ... well, *beep*

24 Hour Party People

24 Hour Party People

Person3
Yeah, I'd agree with that. On the other hand 24 Hour Party People is wonderful.

Person2
I quite like 24 Hour Party People, but it suffers from too much Steve Coogan, who generally gets on my tits. My mum reckoned Tony Wilson was a very pleasant chap, and he deserved someone better to play him. But that film did make much better use of Manchester.

Person1
But it wasn't a film about Joy Division, it was a biopic about Ian Curtis, though I can understand where you're coming from.

Person4
Can't think of any good recent ones, only the fictional Llewyn Davis of Inside Llewyn Davis, great film. Though the Davis character was inspired in part by the likes of Dave Van Ronk.

Nowhere Boy about young John Lennon was pretty bad.

Fighting the frizzies, at 11.

Person5
I rather liked Nowhere Boy. I felt the film focused more on John as the average adolescent as opposed to John "the-better-than-you-and-I-above-average" adolescent. And I'm not saying he wasn't gifted (for which he was) but nice for a change to see some realness and imperfections.

Person3
Backbeat was good for the whole John/Stu/Astrid story.

Person6
I haven't seen any good ones, period.

(Inside Llewyn Davis is a masterpiece, but certainly not biographical, the protagonist having literally nothing in common with Dave Van Ronk except his repertory.)

-----
Person7
I'm Not There is a masterpiece.

Person3
I'm Not There was I think the last one that blew me away. Velvet Goldmine was also a lot of fun but veiled for obvious reasons.

Person6
The best parts of I'm Not There are Cate Blanchett looking hot in drag, and the scene set to the Monkees' "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone."

Person3
Killing Bono is an overlooked little gem.

Person8
If you're a John Lennon fan, Lennon Naked is pretty good. Covers him from around 1965 until 1971 when he moved to New York. Not a feel good movie. Basically shows him as a directionless millionaire looking for an identification.

Nowhere Boy is ok, about Lennon as a teen. Only real problem is the lead actor looks and sounds nothing like Lennon and I had to remind myself that it was suppposed to be him. That and the fact that John never decked Paul at the wake for John's mother.

I still have high hopes for a Janis movie.

Title - Meghan Trainor

Title album by Meghan Trainor.

Trainor's vocals have been described as "soulful" and "highly resonant," and "a reedy cross" between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

She does a great job of preventing pigeon-holing with her music. While there are some rather bubble-pop songs, there are some that are completely different.

Meghan Trainor : Writing her own songs

The following Title (Meghan Trainor) songs :

1. 3am
2. All About That Bass
3. Bang Dem Sticks
4. Close Your Eyes
5. Credit
6. Dear Future Husband
7. Like I'm Gonna Lose You
8. Lips Are Movin
9. Mr. Almost
10. My Selfish Heart
11. No Good For You
12. The Best Part (Interlude)
13. Title
14. Walkashame
15. What If I

Meghan Trainor : Writing her own songs

Meghan Trainor is writing her own songs. Way cool, it's great she wrote for other artists. ie: The Rascal Flatts.

She is one of the best satirists out there. The way she lampoons the absurdity of modern pop music and celebrity culture is friggin' hilarious. I hope she enjoys a long productive career and brings me laughs for years to come!

The "joke" was that she is so absurd I was a person who thought she was actually doing satire/playing a character.

Electronic Audiobook and Music

Electronic Audiobook and Music Options for Old People... An advice is to walk away from Itunes and only buy DRM-free music and audio books. MP3 is still the best and most widely used standards-based audio file format. You can play them on a computer or any other MP3 player, and no network connection is ever required.

Apple iPod nano 16GB Space Gray (7th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

Apple iPod nano 16GB Space Gray (7th Generation) NEWEST MODEL

When it comes to your car, you really should get a car stereo installed. You don't want to have all those things flying around if you ever get into a crash, or just have to do a panic stop or emergency evasive maneuver. Car stereos are reasonably priced these days, and some models have features like MP3 playback and volume that adjusts for road noise. Don't risk injuring yourself and your passengers by carrying big, heavy loose items.

I get what you're saying about the controls for digital audio players vs. mechanical tape transport controls. If you're already set up for Compact Cassette, and are happy with its performance, you can always dub MP3 files to tape by connecting the output of a MP3 player or computer to the input of a cassette recorder. You'll need to keep track of the times yourself, but that may be the most straightforward way to go, all things considered.

My personal choice when it comes to driving is to spend 100% of my time driving. Before there was widespread road rage, and lobbying groups out to criminalize "distracted driving" it wasn't that much of a problem. Today it is. I'm also not quite as capable as I was 30 years ago. It's your life of course, but I just wanted to say that you can choose to not multitask while driving.

Princess Frozen Snow Glow Elsa - Your daughter will love it

The words is not enough, just can say:

"Let it Go"

Your daughter will love Princess Frozen Snow Glow Elsa.

Princess Frozen Snow Glow Elsa

The following link to My First Disney Princess Frozen Snow Glow Elsa Singing Doll.. Character wise, I think Anna was better because she showed more personality throughout, Elsa just basically isolated herself the whole movie while Anna actually set out for adventure. Elsa is good in more interesting ability and design, Anna is good in character.

Elsa's the queen. She has powers to freeze things and create snow.

Anna's her little sister. She's more outgoing than Elsa.

..yeah, she's got something.... so appealing... [[biggrin]]

.. Cute, pretty, sexy, beautiful... she fits in all those categories, that's why she is so attractive.

Ellie Kemper, Bridesmaids

Ellie Kemper, Bridesmaids

..Pretty cute.

..Funny too. Really added a lot to the office when she joined the cast. Can't wait to watch her new Netflix series.

..Yes Ellie Kemper, she is hot

..Ellie Kemper, She is not your typical case of hot but she just has that something :] She is both super cute and super hot at the same time. Always love to see her :]

..I've started watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and while I don't really think she's "hot", Ellie Kemper is definitely cute, with that extra dorky-yet-funny quality that gives her extra points in my book.

Like the type of cute girl you think you would actually have a shot with, and who wouldn't be a b*tch about it even if you don't.

..Yes Ellie Kemper, she is perfect in every way!!!!!

Jaimie Alexander, Stunning

It amazes me how someone can be so beautiful.. Every once in a while there will be a person, in this case a woman, who comes along and makes you stop and think "Wow, she is incredibly beautiful. Positively stunning." Miss Alexander is that, and more. Everywhere she goes, she glows.

Jaimie Alexander, Thor: The Dark World

..Agreed. There are obviously alot of beautiful women in Hollywood but Jaimie Alexander is just off the charts when it comes to being a natural beauty. When I saw the pix of her in that partial see thru evening gown at the Thor premiere, I almost fainted.

"You're not a doctor!" "You don't have enough medical background to squeeze a pimple!"

..That was an amazing dress and Jaimie Alexander, she definitely pulls it off ... yet, it did make me wonder just how much attention this woman needs. What I mean is; I'm sure she already gets a ton in a t-shirt and jeans. Well, perhaps for just that one night she wanted to make some men literally drool.

..Calm down, she's average at best

..That's what I think of Jennifer Aniston, who's at the top of just about every Most Beautiful/Hottest Woman In The History Of The World list. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this is what I think of Ms Alexander.

"Does your society have any other adjectives besides great?" - Pvt. Church

.. Indeed. Jaimie Alexander is stunning. Such a stunning face especially the eyes and the smile. And she has a rocking body as well :)

Tom Hardy, The Dark Knight Rises, Excellent As Bane.........

Tom Hardy, in The Dark Knight Rises. The most attractive Batman villain even though his face was half covered in a mask. The man is hot stuff indeed.

Tom Hardy, The Dark Knight Rises

person2
As a comics fan, I was disappointed that they didn't do more with the character.

--

person3
His ability to transform himself from, say, his character in This Means War into Bane in TDKR was so hot to me. He looks great no matter what, and I've been a fan since Bronson, but I was so impressed with his Bane portrayal that I had goosebumps during and after the film. And right now, actually.

person4
He's amazing in everything I've seen. You should check him out in The Take. He was incredible. Not to mention he is sexy as hell.

person5
Bane wasn't all that him being in this film wound up being pointless it almost doesn't count .

Let face it, people hate art movies. Especially when they are not expecting an art movie

person6
I'll entertain it. How was he pointless? Did he not take over the stock market to sabotage Wayne's funds? Did he not break Batman's back? Did he not terrorize the city and hold it hostage using a military bomb? Did he not free the prisoners and inspire an anarchic fear based state overthrow?

person7
I agree. That voice of his.... It was very effective.

person2
It's honestly horribly inaccurate, though.

--

person5
he was the biggest disappointment in that movie they turnt bane into a holmy commoner .they wacked the very essence out of him they made bane some venice beach beef cake with a asthma problem who batman could of easily taken care of .

person8
What the heck?
In case you didn't notice, batman couldn't take care of him... did we watch the same movie?

person5
Batman was tougher than bane in the nolan films ,that fight was so fake it didn't even look believable . You could see the choreography during the fight it wasn't a very polished fight .Another thing that was inconsistent about bane that tom hardy gave up was he made him into a older guy .Look at the scene where bane is having them remove the cover from waynes device .Bane was sitting down the way he gets up he puts his hands on his knees like a old man.Batman should of kicked his ass he was quicker than bane who is more bulky just like in the comic book .Batman is the more agile person they both fought like they were old men .

person9
The fact is, any actor who buffed up could have played Bane. It didn't fully showcase Tom's talent.

person10
I thought Bane was excellent. Loved Hardy, loved the character.

person11
Hardy is not somebody would cast as Bane, but I thought he was impressive in the role
