 Not enough good to outway the bad. November 15, 2007
From the looks of it, Amazon isn't selling this camera anymore. I think that's a good thing. If my husband hadn't thrown away the receipt I would have returned this camera just a few days after I bought and discovered that it guzzled batteries like crazy. We finally found some duracel rechargeables that last for more than five minutes, but it is still very annoying to be ready to take a picture and the camera shuts itself down because it needs new batteries.
The picture quality, until recently, has been very good for a point and shoot. Now there is a line that runs through the middle of every picture. I believe it is a defect on the sensor.
On a good note, it easy to use. Granted, my five-year old (to whom the camera belongs) is more technologically advanced than many adults. But still, she knows how to navigate the menu and go between shooting still frames, videos and sound recordings.
Being that it's basically being used as a glorified toy, I don't bother with being too frustrated with it, but if were for me I would throw it out the window. So if you haven't bought one and you're considering it, I'd suggest you find a different model that touts long battery life.

We had this camera for about 5 days before it wouldn't turn on. Just a green flashing light by the controls, and no picture on the display. Resetting the camera by opening and closing the battery case door worked for a while, but now it will not turn on at all. Camera has never been dropped, in perfect physical condition. Caveat emptor.

We got this camera for my daugther for Christmas this past year. It's only a few months old and she has only used it a few times. Today when going to to put new batteries in it, the camera would not work. She has not dropped it, gotten it wet, etc. A brand new camera should last more than a few months. I loved all the things, such as a big screen etc., but I am very disappointed now that something I spent good money on is not working. The camera makes a funny sound, and then when I press the power button it lights up, but that is it. It shows no picture and won't turn off. The camera is for a good cause but beware.

I totally love this camera and I know other people will too. I recommend this camera for starters because it is a little thick. But it takes great pictures and also is easy to use. I love the color to it and everything! Also the package you get with it is awesome! They even give you a case to put the camera in. It works great! The only reason why I dont give it a perfect grade would be because the batteries last only for a couple of days. That is why I recommend getting rechargable batteries and a charger so it is no problem. Thats what I do. It only takes like 30 min to recharge so its a great deal! This camera is wonderful for starters and kids. TRUST ME!

this a great starter camera. it has lots of cool features. the only thing that dissapoints me is that it takes 2 double batterys which it eats up really quickly. i am spending alot of money on batterys. i totally reccomend this for starters
