Extremely satisfied!!! Absolutely the very last bag you will ever need!!!! Which unfortunately for me means I have to have more of these awesome KATA bags. I an a civil engineer, constantly on the move. I travel from office to field, to gym to grad school, everyday! Sometimes on foot, sometimes on a bike, sometimes on public transport. I have to carry my laptop, mp3 player, cellphone, extra clothes, food... and some other stuff... I have been looking for this bag all my life. If you have several "worlds" to juggle. This is the bag for you.
Perfect grab and go bag November 12, 2008
I picked this bag because it holds just what I need the majority of the time - my Nikon DSLR, mid-length telephoto lens, flash, meter and the usual extras but no more (they have larger sizes if you need). The bag is well-constructed and the sling works fine. I do a lot of day hikes and the bag converts into a backpack very easily while being pretty comfortable. I have an extra carry bag for other lenses, filters and battery charger if I need. For long hikes, I use a full backpack Lowepro but it is more trouble to have to stop, take off the pack and unzip to get the camera out. the only problem I haven't solve yet is where to put a water bottle.

Great bag. Well constructed with a quality feel to it. Feels like it is really protective for my gear - very strong, semi-rigid material. Compact size, but still fits in my D90, 18-105mm, 50mm, Lensbaby 3G, SB600 flash and spare batteries. Nice quick access panel on either side too. Lots of cool touches. Best of all for me.... no velcro fasteners, just zippers or clasps, perfect!

I wanted a camera bag that is bigger than a Lowepro Slingbag 100 and smaller than the Slingbag 200. And, I was looking for a slingbag that could convert to a backpack. The Kata D-3N1-10 is just that. This is a well made comera bag. It can hold an Olympus E-3, 50-200mm and 11-22mm lens. The fit is a little tight, but I like it for travel.
